About Us
In 2018, Ramaa Krishnan of Full Bloomed Lotus in Wilmette, IL began a non for profit, Grow Through Mindfulness. In the spring of 2022, we transitioned ownership of the program to Ramaa’s former students and changed the name to KNOWTICE. The mission of the work remains the same: to bring Mindfulness teachings into classrooms, communities, work spaces and health care facilities.
The goal of KNOWTICE is to educate through a science-based curriculum that addresses life’s everyday stressors. We grow happier and healthier communities by reinforcing pro-social, goal-directed behaviors, including an increased ability to focus and self-regulate. We embody what we teach by bringing in trained facilitators who live and practice mindfulness and have studied with experts in the field, teaching in-person. We believe mindfulness is an innovative approach to societal change. Nurturing the world within creates a kinder more connected world around us.
Who We Are
We are a group of passionate, hard-working individuals dedicated to the mission of bringing about change in the world. We believe that the practice of mindfulness propels positive societal change through compassion.
Where We Work
Our motto is, “Mindfulness wherever it takes us!” We see a great need to help others explore the world within. We work with schools, non-profit organizations, and workplaces. We are capable and ready to work with your community.
We believe nurturing a mindful life creates deep awareness and compassion. There is an avalanche of excellent research by leading academic institutions that corroborates this belief! Creating a mindful life, with guidance from a skilled and compassionate mindfulness facilitator, leads to a mindful community.
